i think the problem is, it's not just sudam who got bombed. it wasn't all islaam's who attacked us, not all iracis are islamic.
many innocent people died, many Christians died, and continue to die. But how could we not go to war?

love also means justice. I love sadam husain, I do not love his acts, but I love him. that does not mean I spare him his consiquences. If I love someone I do what is right by them, not what is easy.

it's hard to find out where we can do what we do. since grace and the new covenant, anyone can be saved. So how can i kill someone, even if they threaten to kill me or someone i love. The Bible promises that the world will hate us anyway. Do we really have the right to fight back? ever?

Then again, first corinthians 13 says love always protects.
always protects....idk. maybe, maybe not. I know that if it came down to it i would do what i had to to protect those i loved. and that shows weekeness i guess on my part. "love your enemies" how can i love both? i know i can't love both equally...

the first half of the post I agree with completely and it uplifted me more than you will ever know, coming at just the right time after a horrible day.

However, you lost me at the beattitudes. I do not believe those are "anti-war" at all. And I believe if you did your research you are confused in your accusations of who and what we are bombing over there.
Point well said - nobody any of us pray like we should, and we should do our best to maintain peace instead of violence. But all of that together does not mean we can sit here and let Sadam and Alquaida tourcher and murder inocent(some righteous) people. Maybe you should step back and take a closer look at this and utilize guidence that not only of your peirs.
Also, I believe if we are going to be peacemakers in our world we must begin with being peacemakers withing ourselves(us as Christians or so called "church body"). This is a major part of where these verses come into play.

I agree with the rest. I love you.
